Helping Seniors was established 15 years ago as a 100% local-to-Brevard nonprofit that exists to inform, educate and connect Seniors, and their families to resources that make a difference. Helping Seniors operates the County’s Senior Information Helpline (f321-473-7770) and handled 4500 calls last year alone providing Senior Navigation services to Seniors and their families.
Senior Scene® Magazine, with 25 years publishing experience with Seniors, distributes up to 14,000 free copies monthly distributed to 500+ pickup points throughout Brevard County. Senior Scene is the area’s premiere publication that pertains to all things Senior and, increasingly, is being read online at SeniorSceneMag.com
Golden Providers, established 2010, is a resource of credible, trustworthy and respected members of the community to meet Senior needs. It is a team of professionals dedicated to serving the needs of seniors, their families and the businesses that service them. The nonprofit holds monthly meetings so that members remain connected to their mission. Members are pre-screened, selected by invitation only and are trusted professionals.
The Senior Services directory is online 24/7 and is rapidly becoming the area’s most trusted and up-to-date guide to resources for Seniors in Brevard County.
With 25% of our area’s population 65+ and, using AARP definition of seniors as 50+, 50% of our population over 50, our goal is to make the best resources for Seniors readily known.
